SHEILD Association is a reputable and well-established humanitarian non-profit organization that was founded in 2010 in Lebanon. As a registered Civil Company (Non-Governmental Association), SHEILD is committed to promoting human rights, providing aid to victims of disasters and armed conflicts, and fostering the development of societies. Operating in Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen, SHEILD focuses on vulnerable groups such as refugees, women, children, prisoners and their families, the elderly, and those with physical and/or mental challenges. With programs spanning emergency and relief, protection and monitoring, development and livelihoods, agriculture, food security and production, prisons and judicial systems, as well as humanitarian mine action, SHEILD works tirelessly to address the critical needs of these communities and create a culture of global cooperation.

What Is SHEILD Group?
SHEILD Group is the umbrella structure through which SHEILD’s specialized units coordinate the design, delivery, and monitoring of humanitarian, protection, and development interventions. Its technical areas include emergency response; protection and monitoring; humanitarian mine action, including mine risk education, victim assistance, and clearance; inclusive education; research, monitoring and evaluation; training and capacity development; and legal and justice-related work. This multidisciplinary model supports evidence-based programming, coordinated service delivery, and responses that address both immediate needs and longer-term community resilience.

SHEILD Association is dedicated to providing direct assistance and community-based interventions that enhance human rights, improve economic conditions, ensure access to food and services, and protect marginalized communities. We uphold the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Arab Charter on Human Rights, ensuring that all people in need receive assistance without discrimination based on race, gender, religious belief, nationality, ethnic origin, or class. Through our participatory approach, we collaborate with local stakeholders, authorities, and beneficiaries to assess needs and implement programs that address these needs effectively.
